Alpine's Franco Colapinto praised by Flavio Briatore after scoring point in Belgian GP

Argentine driver Franco Colapinto finished tenth at the Belgian Grand Prix, earning Alpine's sole point in the top ten. On lap 31 he executed a rare double overtake, passing teammate Pierre Gasly and Liam Lawson in a single manoeuvre on the Kemmel straight, a move highlighted by the team and fans.

Alpine adviser Flavio Briatore lauded the race as “clean and entertaining”, congratulating Colapinto while noting that the team should not expect a radical swing in results at the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix. He stressed the need for continued development to improve the car’s performance after the summer break. The result kept Alpine tied for fifth in the constructors' standings with Racing Bulls.
