Alstom Coradia Stream trainsets undergo preliminary acceptance in Romania
Representatives from the Railway Reform Authority (ARF), EGIS, and Alstom conducted the preliminary acceptance of two Coradia Stream inter-regional electric trainsets, units TS23 and TS24, at the Alstom depot in the CFR Grivița workshops in Bucharest. These units were recently transported to Romania from Alstom’s manufacturing plant in Bautzen, Germany.
The acceptance process included the completion of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), involving visual inspections and technical documentation reviews. These two units are part of a larger contract between ARF and Alstom Ferroviaria S.p.A. for the delivery of 37 new inter-regional electric trainsets intended for long-distance service. Specifically, TS23 and TS24 belong to a batch of 13 trains allocated to the rail operator InterRegional Călători.
Final transfer of ownership will occur once the units complete 2,000 km of endurance testing and the official acceptance protocol for passenger service is signed.
