Altay Bayindir joins Celta Vigo on loan from Manchester United

Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has joined Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo on a season-long loan. The deal includes an option for a permanent transfer, reportedly valued at approximately $4.7 million (£3.5 million).

The 28-year-old Turkish international joined Manchester United in 2023 but saw limited playing time, making 17 appearances for the club. The move to Celta Vigo is intended to provide Bayindir with more regular first-team football as he seeks to establish himself in a top European league.

Bayindir is expected to join Celta Vigo's pre-season training camp in Italy, where he will be available for upcoming friendly matches against Sassuolo and Napoli. In a social media message, Bayindir expressed his gratitude to Manchester United supporters, stating, "I'll miss Old Trafford but this is not goodbye."
