Altıeylül to Host Lavender Days Festival June 19‑21

Altıeylül municipality will hold the fourth edition of its annual Lavender Days festival from 19 to 21 June 2024 in the Nergiz neighbourhood. The event will take place in a 20‑decare lavender garden prepared by the Rural Services Directorate and will feature music‑accompanied nature walks, photo‑shoot stations, children’s play areas, lavender‑themed activities and stalls selling handmade local products.

Mayor Hakan Şehirli said the festival has become a key brand asset for the town and aims to promote rural development and tourism. To encourage attendance, the municipality is providing free bus services on the days of the festival from the train station, SSK stop, courthouse and Balıkesir University Çağış Campus to the garden.

The three‑day programme is open to all ages and emphasizes the region’s natural beauty, offering visitors the chance to enjoy the scent and colour of the lavender fields while creating lasting memories.
