Alvarado, Veracruz sees major electricity upgrades with six new CFE projects

Alvarado's municipal mayor Alberto "Beto" Cobos announced significant improvements to the town's electric grid, achieved through coordination with the state government and the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE). The utility reports that service reliability has risen to 90 percent, reducing outages for residents and local businesses.

CFE crews have replaced poles, refurbished roughly ten kilometres of wiring, and upgraded aging transformers. In addition, six new electricity infrastructure projects are slated to begin, signaling continued investment in the coastal municipality's power network.

These actions aim to boost quality of life and support economic activities such as fishing, commerce, and tourism in the region.
