Alwi Farhan prepares for 2026 BWF World Championships in India

Indonesian men's singles badminton player Alwi Farhan is preparing for the 2026 BWF World Championships, which will take place in New Delhi, India, from August 17 to 23, 2026. Currently ranked as the 11th seed, the 21-year-old aims to deliver a maximum performance despite not being among the tournament favorites.

Farhan's opening match is scheduled against South Korea's Yoo Tae Bin, a recent runner-up at the 2026 Korea Masters. If he advances through the early rounds, he faces a potential matchup against world number one Shi Yu Qi of China in the round of 16. Farhan expressed confidence in his physical and mental preparation at the PBSI Cipayung national training center, stating, "I am very ready to perform at my best because this is a very prestigious World Championship."
