Alytus Hosts Free Scanorama Summer Film Screenings and Teen Cinema Camp

From July 27 to August 2, the Dainava cinema in Alytus will present the satellite programme of the European Scanorama film festival, branded “Scanorama Summer.” The initiative offers daily free screenings, including the teen drama “Danka” starring Ula Liagaitė and Miguel Goméz’s adventure drama “Grand Tour,” under the theme “Cinema that teaches,” which explores growth, relationships and human fragility.

At the same time, a teen cinema camp runs alongside the festival. Workshops are led by director Dovilė Gasiūnaitė, screenwriter Gabrielė Urbonaitė, cinematographer Eitvydas Doškus, composer Agnė Matulevičiūtė and actors Greta Grinevičiūtė and Džiugas Grinys. Participants create short films that will be premiered in a final screening on August 2.
