Alytus hosts youth cultural festival and mobility week events

The city of Alytus is hosting several community events focused on culture and physical activity. The Alytus Jurgio Kunčino Public Library is organizing the Cultural Experience Festival for youth, titled ‘From ARTist to Me(n)talist’. The program includes 12 educational sessions, discussions, and media literacy activities, specifically targeting students in grades 5–12. Topics range from contemporary circus to 3D education regarding partisan history.

Additionally, Alytus will participate in European Mobility Week from September 16–22. The Alytus Tourism Information Center has organized three guided hikes to promote sustainable movement. These include a 14-kilometer trek along the Nemunas river banks, a 9-kilometer route through the Vidzgiris botanical reserve, and an 11-kilometer evening hike to conclude the week on International Car-Free Day.
