Alzheimer Nederland promotes social inclusion for dementia patients
In observance of World Alzheimer Day in September, Alzheimer Nederland has introduced the theme ‘Ik blijf meedoen’ (I keep participating) to emphasize the importance of social inclusion for those living with dementia.
To support this initiative, an information meeting will be held on September 8 in Bodegraven at Tante Jo. Organized by Alzheimer Nederland (Midden-Holland branch), Bibliotheek De Groene Venen, and Stichting Welzijn Groene Hart, the event aims to connect people with dementia, caregivers, and family members with local support services. Participating organizations will present activities focused on movement, social interaction, and practical assistance. Additionally, the local library will feature a specialized book collection designed to facilitate conversation and understanding regarding dementia.
