Amaal Mallik Reaffirms Allegations Against Tanishk Bagchi After Deleting Posts

Indian music composer Amaal Mallik used his X (formerly Twitter) account to level a series of accusations against fellow composer Tanishk Bagchi, claiming Bagchi copied songs, took undue credit for other musicians’ work, and threatened him using the name of Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. Mallik also alleged misconduct toward female singers and described a decade of suppressed anger before speaking out.

After posting the allegations, Mallik deleted the messages, stating the removal was merely to clear "garbage" from his timeline and not a withdrawal of his statements. He issued a fresh post reaffirming that he stands by every word, warned Bagchi to "stay within his limits," and pledged to continue raising concerns about what he calls the "scums" of the music industry. No legal action or response from Bagchi has been reported.

The controversy has sparked extensive discussion on Indian social media, with supporters backing Mallik’s call for accountability and others urging patience pending verification of the claims.
