Amaravati capital infrastructure: CM Naidu inaugurates E-3 Seed Access Road and steel bridges

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has inaugurated Phase-2 of the E-3 Seed Access Road and two new steel bridges at Undavalli, marking a significant step in the development of the Amaravati capital region. The 21.77-km corridor, constructed by the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) at an estimated cost of Rs 1,519 crore, serves as a primary gateway to the state capital.

The newly opened Phase-2 includes two major steel engineering structures: a 110-metre bridge over the Buckingham Canal and a 280-metre bridge spanning Kondaveeti Vagu and the Guntur Channel. These bridges, built at a combined cost of Rs 82 crore, are designed to provide high-speed connectivity to the capital's transport network.

During the inauguration, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar highlighted the historical importance of local farmers, who voluntarily provided approximately 34,000 acres of land in 2015 for the capital's construction. Officials noted that while the project has faced past delays, technical issues are being resolved to expedite the development of Amaravati as a planned international city with advanced underground infrastructure and extensive road networks.
