Amasya hosts Youth and Adult Outdoor Puta Turkish Championship

The Youth and Adult Outdoor Puta Turkish Championship has commenced in Amasya, organized by the Turkish Traditional Archery Federation (TGTOF). The event features 335 athletes representing 34 different provinces.

Participants are competing in various categories with specific distances: 70 meters for adult men, 60 meters for adult women, and 50 meters for both youth men and women. The competition strictly adheres to traditional standards, requiring the use of traditional bows and arrows that have passed technical committee inspections, and participants must wear traditional clothing.

Kenan Özcan, a board member of the Turkish Traditional Archery Federation, stated that the results of this competition will determine which athletes qualify to participate in national team camp selections. Following the initial ranking rounds, the tournament will proceed to quarter-final and final matches.
