Amazon and VECOM launch e-commerce program for Vietnamese entrepreneurs
Amazon and the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM) have launched the “Young Entrepreneurs Reaching International Markets via E-commerce” program. The initiative aims to equip young-led businesses with essential digital skills, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and cross-border e-commerce expertise to facilitate global expansion.
The program follows the Vietnamese government's “Vietnam GoGlobal (2026-2030)” strategy, which seeks to support at least 100 enterprises in operating effectively on international e-commerce platforms by 2030. While many Vietnamese firms have successfully exported via e-commerce since 2021, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) continue to face hurdles regarding digital human resources, logistics, business models, and operational capacity.
Following its launch in Hanoi, the program is scheduled to expand to Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City. Training will focus on market research, product selection, branding, logistics, payments, and the use of AI to enhance productivity. The initiative provides a platform for businesses to connect with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and experts to navigate the complexities of global online sales.
