Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Adds Real‑Time Web Search Capability

Amazon Web Services has made its new Web Search feature for Bedrock AgentCore generally available. The managed, Model Context Protocol‑compatible connector lets AI agents retrieve up‑to‑date information from a continuously refreshed web index that spans tens of billions of documents, all without external search APIs or outbound credentials. Queries stay within AWS, preserving privacy.

The service includes a built‑in knowledge graph for high‑confidence entity grounding and semantic snippet extraction that returns only the most relevant passages within a model’s context window. Integration is handled via the AgentCore Gateway using standard tools/list calls, allowing developers to add real‑time web grounding to agents with minimal infrastructure overhead.
