Amazon Bedrock launches redesigned console for OpenAI‑ and Anthropic‑compatible APIs
Amazon announced a refreshed console experience for its Bedrock service, aimed at simplifying the development, testing, and scaling of generative‑AI applications. The new interface is built around the bedrock‑mantle endpoint and supports the OpenAI Responses API, OpenAI Chat Completions API, and the Anthropic Messages API, letting customers use the latest GPT, Claude and open‑weight models without code changes.
Key features include a searchable model catalog with side‑by‑side capability comparisons, project‑based workspaces that consolidate evaluation runs, usage insights and live documentation, and auto‑filled SDK snippets that embed the selected model ID, region and endpoint. A dashboard shows token usage, request rates and model distribution to aid prompt optimisation. The console is now available in all AWS regions that host the mantle endpoint, covering North America, Europe, Asia‑Pacific and South America.
Developers can start a project, pick up to three models for direct comparison, and copy ready‑to‑run code snippets into their applications, accelerating the move from experimentation to production.
