Amazon invested over 30 billion euros in Italy since 2010

Amazon has invested more than 30 billion euros in Italy since 2010, creating 19,000 jobs, according to Giorgio Busnelli, Vice President and Country Manager for Amazon Italy. The investments include capital expenditures for logistics infrastructure, offices, and data centers, as well as operational expenses such as employee salaries.

In 2025 alone, the company’s investments exceeded 5 billion euros. According to Keystone Strategy, these investments have contributed over 23 billion euros in added value to Italy’s GDP since 2010, with approximately 4 billion euros generated in 2025. Data from Teha Group also ranks Amazon as the third-largest foreign-controlled company in terms of investments made in Italy during the 2020-2024 five-year period.
