Amazon MGM Studios moves to final round in search for new James Bond

Amazon MGM Studios is conducting the final phase of casting for the next James Bond film, aiming to find a young actor under 30 who can portray the iconic spy across several installments. Director Denis Villeneuve and screenwriter Steven Knight are attached to the project, while veteran casting director Nina Gold is narrowing the shortlist to roughly five to seven candidates. The studio has begun contacting actors who have progressed to the second round, with names such as Harris Dickinson, Callum Turner and Jacob Elordi mentioned in speculation, though no official list has been released.

The upcoming auditions are slated for August, and the studio hopes to appoint the new Bond by the end of 2026, allowing production to begin in 2027. The search follows the departure of Daniel Craig after "No Time to Die" and reflects Amazon’s intent to steer the franchise for the next generation of films.
