Amazon Music expands video podcast catalog and monetization globally

Amazon Music is expanding its video podcast offerings by establishing new partnerships with major hosting providers and distributors. Users can now access video content from providers such as ART19, Triton Digital’s Omny Studio, and Flightcast. Additional content from SiriusXM, Megaphone, and Libsyn is expected to arrive in the coming months.

The expansion moves the video podcast feature beyond the United States to include Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil, and Japan. This initiative includes content from publishers such as iHeartMedia, NBC Sports, and Headgum. In Brazil, exclusive video interviews with artists Veigh and MC Hariel are already available via the Podcast Re-verso feed.

To support creators, Amazon Music has introduced new monetization capabilities, allowing for the dynamic insertion of video advertisements alongside existing brand sponsorships and baked-in ads. The company stated that creators will maintain full control over their hosting, ad inventory, and audience targeting as they compete with platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
