Amazon opens first distribution center in Paraná

Amazon and ID Logistics have inaugurated their first distribution center in the state of Paraná, located in São José dos Pinhais. The 24,000-square-meter facility is designed to accelerate deliveries in Southern Brazil, enabling same-day delivery for customers in Paraná and shorter shipping times for those in Santa Catarina.

The center has an initial capacity to process over 700,000 packages per week and will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During peak periods, the operation is expected to involve up to 900 direct and indirect workers. The facility utilizes a fulfillment model, where products from selected sellers are stored on-site to speed up distribution.

This expansion marks a significant milestone for ID Logistics, representing its first operation in Southern Brazil. For Amazon, which has established over 300 logistics units across Brazil in six years, the new center strengthens its infrastructure in the region to compete with other major e-commerce players.
