Amazon Prime launches comedy series LOL Next

Amazon Prime is launching “LOL Next” on September 10, a new spin-off of the comedy format “LOL: Last One Laughing”. Hosted by Hazel Brugger, the show features ten social media stars and internet personalities competing to avoid laughing for four hours.

This version introduces stricter rules compared to the original format; while the predecessor allowed a warning after the first laugh, in “LOL Next”, a single laugh results in immediate elimination. The season will consist of four episodes.

Participants include Swiss influencer and musician Adrian Vogt, known as Aditotoro, who plans to incorporate Swiss themes and an alphorn into his performance. Additionally, “Tagesschau” announcer Susanne Daubner is set to make a guest appearance, which may serve as a distraction for the contestants.
