Amazon Prime Video has launched ‘LOL Next’, a spin-off of the popular comedy series ‘LOL: Last One Laughing’. Unlike the original format, this version features ten social media personalities rather than established comedians and is hosted by Hazel Brugger.

The series consists of four episodes, with each session lasting four hours instead of the standard six. The format follows the same premise where participants must avoid laughing to stay in the competition.

Initial audience reception has been largely negative. On platforms such as IMDb and Moviepilot, the show has received low ratings, with some viewers expressing disappointment regarding the choice of participants. Some audience members noted a disconnect between the new content creator-focused cast and the expectations of long-time viewers of the original series.
