Amazonas tax authority launches modernized online service portal
The Amazonas State Treasury Department (Sefaz‑AM) has upgraded its main virtual channel for taxpayers, the Portal Fale Conosco, which now consolidates all digital assistance through the gov.br platform. Users can log in to submit requests and track progress on matters such as vehicle tax (IPVA), inheritance tax (ITCMD), invoice issuance, customs clearance, and other fiscal services, with a standard response time of up to 10 business days.
Since its rollout in November 2025, the portal has recorded more than 6,000 interactions. The system incorporates artificial‑intelligence tools to standardize information, streamline internal processes, and improve the user experience. Mary Luz, head of the Citizen Service Center, said the new platform makes the tax authority’s relationship with contributors faster, safer and more transparent. The portal is part of a broader digital transformation effort that also includes virtual assistants and automated process solutions, all built internally without requiring advanced programming skills.
