Amber Eggers, 'Love After Lockup' star, dies at 41

Amber Eggers, a season-two cast member of WeTV’s “Love After Lockup,” died at age 41 in an Atlanta hospital on September 3. Her mother, Monica Eggers, confirmed that Eggers passed away due to acute liver failure after her heart stopped during a sudden health crisis.

Eggers had faced significant health challenges over the past year, including a stroke in August and previous hospitalizations for severe pneumonia and a bacterial blood infection. Her television career was rooted in her experiences during a four-year sentence for drug trafficking, where she met her former partner, Vincent Gonzalez.

Eggers is one several cast members from the “Love After Lockup” franchise to have passed away. Other notable deaths within the franchise include Alla Subbotina, who died at age 31 in 2021, and Tracie Wagaman Brady.
