America.gov launches AI portal to reduce government bureaucracy
The United States government has launched America.gov, an AI-powered portal designed to reduce bureaucracy and improve citizen services. The platform utilizes artificial intelligence from Elon Musk’s Grok and Google’s Gemini to process inquiries in natural language.
Currently, the portal can analyze approximately 29,000 government pages to provide information and links to users. While it currently assists with tasks such as voter registration and replacing Social Security cards, future updates aim to allow citizens to actively apply for documents, such as passports, through the interface. An authentication login function is expected to be implemented by January.
