American Airlines and Alaska Airlines partnership benefits

Travelers can integrate Alaska Atmos bookings into American Airlines AAdvantage accounts to utilize elite status benefits. Doing so allows passengers to access perks such as preferred seating, early boarding, and complimentary luggage. Additionally, linking the accounts ensures flights appear within the AAdvantage system for easier check-in and boarding pass management.

However, travelers must weigh these benefits against loyalty point accumulation. While adding a booking to American Airlines grants immediate flight perks, keeping the booking with Alaska may be preferable for those prioritizing Alaska status, as loyalty points are earned through the original booking airline even on partner flights.
