American Airlines passenger arrested for indecent acts mid-flight

A female passenger was taken into custody at Miami International Airport following reports of indecent behavior during an American Airlines flight from Baltimore.

American Airlines Flight 1779, an Airbus A319, departed Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport on Friday night. During the flight, which was cruising at approximately 38,000 feet, flight attendants reported that a passenger in row 9 had completely undressed and was engaging in explicit, indecent acts in view of other travelers.

According to Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) logs, the lead flight attendant notified the cockpit and requested that law enforcement be waiting at the destination. The aircraft continued to its destination without diverting and landed in Miami around 11:23 p.m. EDT. Law enforcement officers met the plane at the gate and escorted the woman into custody. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
