American expat David lauds rapid expansion of Hanoi's Linh Nam road

American language teacher David, living in Vinh Tuy, Hanoi, posted a video on social media expressing surprise at Vietnam's rapid development. He remarks that the city is changing daily with new roads, construction sites, and business activity, describing the pace as "unbelievable."

The footage was recorded on Linh Nam street, where authorities are widening the road from its current width to accommodate 4‑6 lanes. The Linh Nam road expansion project involves an investment of about 2.493 trillion VND, spans roughly 3.4 km, and is slated for completion in 2027. The scheme will acquire more than 98,000 m² of land, affecting hundreds of households and various organisations. The project is part of Hanoi's broader infrastructure push, which includes inner‑city routes, the fourth ring road and other major construction initiatives.
