American Horror Story returns for 13th season with crossover cast

The FX anthology series American Horror Story returns for its 13th season, titled ‘American Horror Story: 13’. Described by creator Ryan Murphy as a ‘greatest hits’ event, the season will deviate from the show’s usual standalone format by bringing together characters and storylines from previous eras, including Murder House, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, and Cult.

Jessica Lange is returning to the franchise, reprising her four iconic roles—Constance Langdon, Sister Jude Martin, Fiona Goode, and Elsa Mars—while also playing a secret fifth mystery character. Other returning stars include Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts, and Kathy Bates. The new season also features Ariana Grande.

The season consists of 13 episodes. In the United States, the premiere begins on September 24 on FX and Hulu. Internationally, the series will be available on Disney+, with release schedules varying by region, such as an October 1 debut in Italy.
