American Idol production moving from Los Angeles to Atlanta
Production for the reality singing competition ‘American Idol’ is moving from Los Angeles to the Atlanta, Georgia area. Fremantle, the production company, is reportedly in final negotiations with a local studio complex for the move.
The relocation is driven by Georgia’s tax incentives, which include a 30% credit for productions that spend at least $500,000 in the state. These incentives are reportedly more accessible than those currently offered in California.
Season 25 is expected to premiere in January 2027 on ABC, with episodes available on Hulu and Disney+. The current judging panel, consisting of Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie, along with host Ryan Seacrest, are expected to return for the new production location.
