Amerigo Vespucci training ship to visit Naples and Ravenna

The historic Italian Navy training ship Amerigo Vespucci is concluding its North America 2026 World Tour with several significant stops in Italy.

In Naples, the vessel will dock at Molo Beverello from September 20 to 25. This visit coincides with the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup Preliminary Regatta Napoli. A highlight of the Naples stay will occur on September 23, when the America’s Cup trophy is scheduled to be brought on board to celebrate the connection between maritime history and modern sailing.

Following its Mediterranean return, the ship is scheduled to visit Ravenna from October 14 to 18. This stop honors Ravenna’s designation as the Italian Capital of the Sea 2026. The visit, announced by regional and local authorities, aims to promote maritime culture and the blue economy through various institutional and public engagement activities.
