Amirudin Shari mandated to negotiate PH-BN cooperation for Melaka election

Pakatan Harapan (PH) Election Director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has been mandated to negotiate potential cooperation with Barisan Nasional (BN) for the upcoming Melaka state election. PH Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim confirmed that Amirudin is tasked with detailing the form of this partnership, which includes the distribution of seats.

Anwar stated that the possibility of cooperation is always open, noting that collaboration is essential in both life and administration. While reports suggested a recent meeting between Anwar and Amirudin focused on political strategy, Anwar clarified that their meeting was primarily regarding the organization of the Malaysia Games (SUKMA).

The PH election committee, led by Amirudin and PH Secretary-General Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, will oversee these discussions. Meanwhile, PH Communications Director Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil confirmed the meeting between the leaders took place but noted he had not been briefed on the specific topics discussed.
