Amit Shah visits Rajasthan to launch development projects and disburse farmer aid
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is conducting a two-day visit to Rajasthan, focusing on infrastructure, employment, and agricultural support. During the visit, Shah is scheduled to disburse ₹667.40 crore to approximately 66.74 lakh farmers as the sixth installment of the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Additionally, ₹152 crore will be released under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
The itinerary includes the unveiling of a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Nimbahera, Chittorgarh, and the dedication of various development projects worth over ₹12,000 crore across multiple districts, including Alwar. Shah is also set to participate in the Mukhyamantri Rozgar Utsav, where appointment letters will be distributed to 10,548 newly recruited personnel.
In Alwar, local police detained several students ahead of Shah’s scheduled public appearance at Vijay Nagar Ground. The detentions were reportedly preventive, aimed at stopping planned protests regarding student union elections and grievances related to previous demonstrations in New Delhi. Security has been heightened across the state, with no-fly and no-drone zones established in several areas.
