Amit Shah visit to Rajasthan

Overview

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is conducting a two-day visit to Rajasthan to inaugurate development projects and provide agricultural and employment support. The visit includes the disbursement of ₹667.40 crore to approximately 66.74 lakh farmers via the sixth installment of the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, alongside ₹152 crore released under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.

In Nimbahera, Chittorgarh, Shah unveiled a 21-foot bronze statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary, describing Vajpayee as an ‘ajatshatru’ (one with no enemies) who remained committed to nationalism despite decades in the opposition. During the event, Shah inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects totaling approximately ₹5,659 crore in Chittorgarh and ₹6,453 crore in Alwar. In Alwar, he also announced that the local medical college would be renamed in honor of Vajpayee.

In addition to infrastructure, Shah participated in the Mukhyamantri Rozgar Utsav to distribute appointment letters to 10,548 newly recruited personnel. During his addresses, Shah criticized the Congress party for neglecting the hymn ‘Vande Mataram’ for vote-bank politics and contrasted the current government’s progress on initiatives like ‘Har Ghar Nal Har Ghar Jal’ with previous administrations.

Security was heightened throughout the state with no-fly and no-drone zones. In Alwar, local police conducted preventive detentions of several students ahead of Shah’s appearance at Vijay Nagar Ground to forestall planned protests regarding student union elections and prior grievances in New Delhi.
