Ammy Virk denies rumors of being targeted in Canada shooting

Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk has dismissed social media rumors claiming his convoy was targeted in a shooting in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Following a concert on September 5, reports circulated online suggesting that gunfire had been directed at the artist’s vehicle.

The Abbotsford Police Department clarified that a shooting occurred on McCallum Road involving a dark SUV firing shots at another vehicle, but the incident was unrelated to Virk. Police also investigated a nearby vehicle fire in the Sunnyside Place area, and the Major Crime Unit is working to determine if the shooting and arson are connected.

Ammy Virk addressed his fans via Instagram, stating, “Please do not believe everything reported or circulated. With the blessings of Waheguru, I am perfectly safe.” His father, Kuljit Singh, added that no shots were directed at the singer and suggested the gunfire may have been aimed at vehicles belonging to local event organizers instead.
