On September 5, a shooting occurred in Abbotsford, British Columbia, involving a dark-colored SUV firing upon another vehicle in the 2500 block of McCallum Road. The incident took place following a concert, leading to initial reports that the vehicle targeted was a bulletproof Rolls Royce Cullinan linked to Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk.
Police also investigated a vehicle fire in the nearby Sunnyside Place area to determine if it was connected to the shooting. While early reports suggested Virk’s convoy was the target, the singer and his father, Kuljit Singh, later denied that the gunfire was directed at him. Virk addressed fans on Instagram, stating, “Please do not believe everything reported or circulated. With the blessings of Waheguru, I am perfectly safe.”
The Abbotsford Police Department clarified that the shooting was unrelated to Virk, and his father suggested the incident might involve individuals connected to local event organizers. The Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the shooting and potential arson.
