Amnesty International warns of ethnic cleansing in West Bank

Amnesty International has issued a warning regarding the escalation of state-supported settler violence in the occupied West Bank, asserting that these attacks are not isolated incidents but a central policy of the Israeli state aimed at the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

The organization reported that recent assaults in the towns of Khirbet Abu Falah and al-Taybeh, east of Ramallah, targeted Palestinian farmers, a European diplomatic delegation, and an American photojournalist from The Washington Post. These incidents occurred during the olive harvest season, causing significant economic loss and humanitarian suffering.

Amnesty International is calling on the international community to take concrete actions, including imposing sanctions on Israeli officials implicated in serious violations of international law. The group also urged nations to halt trade, investment, and cooperation that support the occupation, and to stop the supply of weapons and security equipment to Israel.
