AMPB and online taxi drivers clash after Jakarta protest

Tensions have risen between online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers and the Aliansi Masyarakat Pati Bersatu (AMPB) following an audience at the DPR RI building in Jakarta. Ojol representatives, including Melva Pardede, expressed disappointment after the AMPB group departed Jakarta immediately following their meeting with parliamentary leaders, perceiving a lack of gratitude for the local support provided to the group.

In response, AMPB leadership clarified that their departure was not an act of ignoring supporters but was in line with their original commitment to conduct peaceful demonstrations without causing chaos. A representative identified as Ali, a protector for the group, issued a video clarification to address the misunderstanding.

Separately, Melva Pardede has faced online accusations of being a provocateur and claims that she is a member of the PDI Perjuangan political party. Politician Jhon Sitorus has refuted these claims, stating that Pardede is not an official party member and lacks a membership card. Sitorus further noted that images circulating online depicting her with party attributes were likely generated by artificial intelligence.
