Amposta and Talavera award multi‑million‑euro contracts for urban green‑space maintenance

The municipality of Amposta in Spain has issued a tender for a new urban green‑space cleaning and maintenance service worth €3.27 million (VAT included) over five years, almost doubling the previous contract. The bid will allow the staff to expand to nearly ten positions, broaden the service area to the whole urban core and surrounding districts, and include upgrades such as irrigation automation, new planting material and removal of dead palms affected by the red palm weevil.

In Talavera de la Reina, authorities have started a procurement process for the maintenance of municipal green areas valued at €5.603 million (VAT included) for up to five years. The work is divided into three lots covering comprehensive upkeep of western parks and pools, tree pruning, and phytosanitary and herbicide treatments. Both projects aim to improve the quality and sustainability of public green spaces in their respective towns.
