Amritsar hosts Youth Run Punjab 2026 anti-drug marathon

Thousands of participants, including young people and athletes, took part in the ‘Youth Run Punjab 2026’ marathon in Amritsar on Sunday. The event was organized by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) youth wing as part of the ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ campaign to promote fitness, healthy living, and a drug-free Punjab.

The marathon commenced at 6 AM from Ranjit Avenue and was flagged off by AAP Punjab Working President and MLA Aman Sher Singh Shery Kalsi. Kalsi noted that the high turnout demonstrates the sporting spirit of the youth and counters negative portrayals of the state's younger generation.

Reports indicate that the initiative has seen significant engagement across multiple cities, including Mohali, Bathinda, and Jalandhar, prior to the Amritsar event.
