AAP officials maintained that their government has successfully disrupted cross-border supply chains, alleging that much of the narcotics currently entering Punjab now originate from other Indian states.
In response to the political pressure, the AAP youth wing has launched the ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ campaign, which includes fitness-oriented initiatives such as the ‘Youth Run Punjab 2026’ marathon. On October 11, thousands of participants and athletes gathered in Amritsar for the marathon, which was flagged off by AAP Punjab Working President and MLA Aman Sher Singh Shery Kalsi. Kalsi stated that the high turnout demonstrates a sporting spirit that counters negative portrayals of the state’s youth. Similar engagement has been reported in Mohali, Bathinda, and Jalandhar.
