Amsterdam Dance Event celebrates 30 years of electronic music

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is celebrating its 30th anniversary from October 21 to 25, focusing on the evolution of electronic music, technology, and industry innovation. The festival features a diverse program across various city locations, including concerts, artistic installations, and professional debates. Notable highlights include a performance by Jean-Michel Jarre at AFAS Live and the introduction of the Nighttime Culture Index, a project designed to measure cultural vitality, sustainability, and community representation in the nightlife sector.

As part of the festivities, the event organization Audio Obscura will host its final series of shows at the G-STAR RAWFACTORY from October 22 to 24. The brutalist headquarters, designed by architect Rem Koolhaas, has served as a recurring unconventional venue for ADE. While the specific takeover of the G-STAR facility is ending, Audio Obscura plans to continue its ADE programming in other locations, such as The Loft in the A’DAM Tower, and is currently scouting new spaces for future editions.
