Amsterdam music and arts festival programming
Overview
The Amsterdam music scene in 2026 features various large-scale cultural events, including the Grachtenfestival and the 30th anniversary of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).
Starting August 7, the Grachtenfestival will transform the city into a venue for ten days, offering over 150 performances. Locations include the Felix Meritis concert hall, the industrial De Gashouder, and the 17th-century windmill Molen de Otter. At Flevopark, a 5 km run will be accompanied by a live rendition of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
In October, the ADE celebrations include several major highlights. On October 23, DJ Bone will present the ‘FURTHER x Homeless Homies’ benefit at RADION, featuring artists such as Helena Hauff, Kevin Saunderson, and Dubfire. All ticket sales and a portion of bar revenue will support the international Homeless Homies charity, supplemented by a silent auction.
To mark the 30th anniversary, the immersive textile art installation ‘EINDER’ by Boris Acket and Making Waves will run from October 21 to November 1 at De Centrale Markthal. This 80 by 25-meter installation will host live performances, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Additionally, Sounds Australia will host an expanded three-day ‘Australia House’ at Box Sociaal from October 21 to 23 to facilitate industry networking.
DGTL is scheduled to return to the ADE from October 22 to October 25, featuring eight shows across the NDSM Loods and Kromhouthal. The program includes a live performance by the Dutch duo Tinlicker, a debut of the full Generator stage, and a focus on UK-inspired club culture in Frequency.
Further additions to the ADE lineup include a confirmed four-hour performance by Swedish DJ and producer Eric Prydz on October 22 at the Gashouder. The performance, scheduled from 18:00 to 22:00, will take place at the recently renovated Westerpark venue. The ADE is expected to attract over 400,000 attendees during its run.
