During a live edition of the morning show Mais Você, presenter Ana Maria Braga was hugged by sports reporter Alessandro Jodar, who jokingly called her “coitada” after Palmeiras’ defeat. Braga rebuked the comment, saying, “Ah, pra quê esse ‘coitada’ logo cedo? Que coitada, o quê! Sai de mim!” and added a popular saying, “Coitado é filho de rato que nasce pelado, não sou eu.” Jodar later tried to explain his remark as a joke.

Later that week the presenter was seen arriving by helicopter at Hospital Beneficência Portuguesa in São Paulo. Her press office clarified that the visit was scheduled for routine examinations, not an emergency admission. A spokesperson said, “Ela foi ao hospital fazer exames de rotina na sexta‑feira e não ficou internada. Entrou e saiu no mesmo dia. Está em casa muito bem.” Braga left the hospital the same day and her health was reported as stable, while her return to Mais Você on Monday remained to be confirmed.
