Ana Navarro discusses political evolution and opposition to Donald Trump

Ana Navarro, a co-host on ABC’s ‘The View’, recently discussed her political evolution and her refusal to engage with Donald Trump. During a segment regarding changing political beliefs, Navarro stated that voting for Hillary Clinton in 2016 was a liberating experience that allowed her to no longer feel ‘chained to one party or another.’ She noted that this shift forced her to prioritize candidate policies over strict party affiliation.

In a separate discussion on the program, Navarro clashed with co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines over the idea of dining with Donald Trump. While her colleagues debated the merits of engaging with the former president to influence policy, Navarro expressed strong opposition. She cited the administration’s immigration enforcement actions against Latinos as a reason for her stance, stating, ‘No way in hell would I want to break bread or be in the same room with a man whose administration is hunting Latinos.’ Navarro emphasized her intention to campaign against him and hold him accountable rather than normalizing his presence.
