Ana Navarro political opposition to Donald Trump

Ana Navarro, a co-host on ABC’s ‘The View’, has publicly detailed her political evolution and her refusal to engage with Donald Trump. Navarro described her shift toward prioritizing candidate policies over strict party affiliation, noting that voting for Hillary Clinton in 2016 was a “liberating experience.”

Navarro engaged in heated debates with co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines regarding the ethics of dining with the former president. While her colleagues suggested that face-to-face interactions could influence policy, Navarro rejected the idea, stating, “No way in hell would I want to break bread or be in the same room with a man whose administration is hunting Latinos.” She argued that such interactions would serve to “normalize” him and characterized the administration’s immigration enforcement actions against Latino communities as “criminal.”

The tension escalated when Haines made a joke comparing a potential dinner between Navarro and Trump to a scene from ‘Lady and the Tramp’, which Navarro interrupted, insisting, “This is not funny!” Following the segment, Rosie O’Donnell expressed support for Navarro on social media.
