ANA revises Super Flyers Card program following member feedback

All Nippon Airways (ANA) is revising its ANA Super Flyers Card (SFC) program following significant feedback from members regarding a proposed tier system based on annual spending.

The initial proposal sought to divide SFC members into two categories: ‘SFC PLUS’ and ‘SFC LITE’. Under the original plan, members with annual spending of 3 million yen or more would maintain Star Alliance Gold status and ANA lounge access. Those spending less than 3 million yen would be downgraded to Star Alliance Silver status and lose access to ANA lounges.

Following the backlash, ANA announced a revised plan on September 29. While the 3 million yen spending threshold remains, the new terms allow ‘SFC LITE’ members limited access to ANA lounges. However, the downgrade of Star Alliance status for those below the spending threshold remains part of the revised structure. ANA is also offering special provisions for former SFC members to rejoin the program through March 2027.
