The National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) has reported 14 cases of passenger indiscipline in Brazil since a new resolution took effect on September 14. The recorded incidents include five ordinary, eight serious, and one very serious infraction.

In a notable very serious incident on September 18, a passenger on an Azul flight traveling from Belém to Campinas exposed his genitalia and urinated in the aircraft galley. Following the incident, the passenger was met by authorities upon landing and handed over to the Federal Police. Anac stated the act warrants a fine and a six-month suspension of flying privileges.

Other reported infractions include four passengers smoking in aircraft bathrooms, classified as serious offenses, and one instance of a passenger kicking another. Under the current regulations, passengers involved in such misconduct can face fines of up to R$ 17.5 thousand and a suspension of flying rights for up to 12 months.
