Anadolu University has announced a student amnesty program for its Open Education Faculty, allowing students who previously withdrew or had their registrations canceled to return to their studies. Following a regulation published in the Official Gazette on August 9, 2026, under Law No. 7592, the university aims to welcome approximately 100,000 new students from a pool of nearly 4 million eligible individuals.

According to Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Adıgüzel, students who complete their amnesty applications by October 2 can begin classes in the fall semester. Those who register between October 2 and December 9 will start in the spring semester. Applications are to be processed online via the university's website.

Separately, Istanbul University's Open and Distance Education Faculty (AUZEF) has commenced its registration renewal process for the 2026-2027 academic year. Current AUZEF students must complete their fee payments through the AKSIS system by September 20, 2026. The fall semester activities are scheduled to run from September 21 to December 25, 2026.
