Overview

In early August 2026, Anadolu University’s Open Education Faculty (ATA AÖF) released results for make-up exams held on August 1–2. Students were provided specific deadlines for grade appeals via the ÖYS system or mobile application, with a final deadline of 15:00 local time on August 9. Concurrently, the Ministry of National Education (MEB) announced that Open High School (AÖL) third-term exam results would be released on August 7.

By mid-August, Anadolu University released entrance documents for the 2025-2026 summer school session, with exams scheduled for August 22, 2026.

A new student amnesty regulation, published in the Official Gazette on August 9, 2026, allows students previously severed from universities—including Anadolu, Ankara, Atatürk, and Istanbul universities—to re-enroll. Under Law No. 7592, the program targets individuals who interrupted their education or had registrations cancelled.

Anadolu University Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Adıgüzel noted that approximately 4 million former students domestically and abroad could benefit, setting an enrollment target of 100,000. As of early September, more than 30,000 students have applied. The application timeline is split into two phases: those applying by October 2 can begin in the fall semester, while those registering between October 2 and December 9 will start in the spring semester.

Additionally, Istanbul University’s Open and Distance Education Faculty (AUZEF) has begun its registration renewal process for the 2026-2027 academic year. Current AUZEF students are required to complete fee payments through the AKSIS system by September 20, 2026, ahead of fall semester activities running from September 21 to December 25, 2026.
