Anamika Khanna Opens India Couture Week 2026 at Hyderabad’s Falaknuma Palace

The 19th edition of India Couture Week began on 24 July 2026 in Hyderabad, with the historic Taj Falaknuma Palace hosting the opening show – the first time the event has started outside New Delhi. Designer Anamika Khanna presented her "Moonlit Palace" collection, which merges heritage craftsmanship from Rajasthan’s Barmer and the visual language of Kolkata’s Kalighat paintings with contemporary couture techniques. The runway featured fluid drapes, sculptural silhouettes, intricate embroidery, metallic details and integrated jewellery, created with the involvement of women artisans.

After the Hyderabad showcase, the couture week will move to New Delhi’s Taj Palace for the remaining presentations through 29 July, featuring a line‑up that includes Falguni Shane Peacock, Rohit Bal, House of Masaba, JJ Valaya, Tarun Tahiliani and others.
